Matching a nozzle to the fuel, the flow rate and the cabinet it hangs from.
The nozzle is the one part of a dispenser an operator touches at every fill, so it is also the part that decides whether a forecourt feels well built. As a fuel nozzle manufacturer we build the whole article rather than fitting bought-in bodies: the cast body, the spout, the main valve and the diaphragm are all made in the same workshop. Every unit is an automatic nozzle in the sense that matters to a driver: the venturi at the spout drops pressure as the tank fills and trips the valve, so nobody has to watch the filler neck. Making the whole article is what lets the automatic shut-off nozzle trip point repeat from one unit to the next.
The fuel decides the first split. A gasoline nozzle carries a recovery bellows when the site runs Stage II recovery; a diesel nozzle is supplied without one, because diesel vapor is not recovered at the nozzle. A high flow nozzle such as the DT-N120 or the DT-N200 opens a wider bore for truck and depot loading, where a car nozzle would throttle the hose. Liquefied gas needs a different body altogether, so an lpg nozzle is sealed and latched for a pressurised line, and AdBlue needs a dedicated adblue nozzle that cannot be mistaken for a fuel spout.
Names change with the market, not the hardware. What a US station calls a gas station nozzle is sold into the UK as a petrol nozzle, and the thread, the spout and the shut-off are the same article; only the packaging and the certificate reference change. If a tender names a standard or a specific dispenser brand, send us that clause and we will confirm which body and which inlet thread covers it.
A nozzle is only half the assembly. The nozzle boot that takes the weight, the nozzle holder, the breakaway coupling that protects the hose in a drive-off, the swivel, the filter and the sight glass are all part of the same range, so a forecourt can be re-nozzled and re-hosed from one order.
